White Heat

Nice to finally turn in a couple of first chapters for a contest yesterday. Until the deadline, I was still tweaking my pages. Such a relief to be done so that I could just go into the city and celebrate my youngest’s tenth birthday at Old Spaghetti Factory with the family.

I am finishing a novel right now that is near and dear to my heart. 33,000 words in about a week so far – writing it in a white heat. Crazy I know, and is making me a burnout candidate, but it is wonderful to just get the story out while it is fresh in my mind.

Looking forward to finishing it, because when I am done, I have promised myself some sticky rice dessert from a Thai restaurant.

There you have it. I am throwing the gauntlet down!
