Nothing Like It

Pink Think: “You know full well as I do the value of sisters’ affections: There is nothing like it in this world.” – Charlotte Bronte

Photo: my sister and me. I’m in pink, what else?

My sister and her husband have been visiting with our family in Utah for the last two weeks. They live in Ireland.

It’s been a blast showing them around: riding horses, ice skating, sledding, seeing the lights at Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake, playing guitar and singing, eating Indian and Brazilian food, having a makeover, just hanging out.

I have written very little during the past couple of weeks, but it has been worth the diversion.

I am giving myself a couple of months to revise my current novel, in time to submit to an agent at a writer’s conference. It’s shaping up well. My revision is pretty drastic but infinitely better: changing the point of view from third to first person.

I’m excited with how it’s going.
