Morning Balm

Pink Think: When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.” – Marcus Aurelius

It’s amazing how sleep could be such a balm.

I thought about reading a book to help relax me before bed last night, but after a few pages, when the book didn’t hold my interest, I gave up. I then went to bed at midnight fraught with worry over a few things.

But then morning came, and the world was pretty again. I put it all in His hands now.

I’m thankful my writing is going well. Some updates:

1. I’ve started querying freelance articles again.

2. A couple of people are reading my BLEMISH manuscript. I am itching to start querying, but I will make myself sit on my hands and wait for feedback so when my “baby” does go out to agents, it’ll be all polished and nice, and I’d know I gave it my best shot.

3. I have started a historical fantasy set in, where else, the Philippines in the latter part of the 18th century, which is my favorite time period of all. It’s set in this world with some minor characters who are also actual people from history, but there are fantasy elements. I’m having a ball introducing all sorts of mayhem and imaginary creatures.

What are YOU thankful for this morning/day?
