Melting Point

Pink Think: “Accustom yourself continually to make many acts of love, for they enkindle and melt the soul.” – Saint Teresa

What makes me melt:

Watching my husband and our two youngest kids diligently planting seeds on their respective rows in the garden during a lull in rain storms.

Thinking, I’m lucky to be married to a good, hard-working man.

Kissing my 15 year old’s soft cheek and feeling grateful she still lets me.

Seeing a bag of razors and shaving cream in my 13 year old son’s bathroom.

Booting up my computer and discovering one of my kids changed the cursor to a peeled banana. At first I think, “I need to tell the kids to stop messing with the computer.” Instead, I laugh and let it go.

Reading my oldest’s yearbook and sensing their school pride and camaraderie on every page.

Seeing my son cradle one of our cats gently in his arms.

Hearing the cats gambol up to the front door to greet my youngest.
