Joy

Pink Think: “I enjoy writing, sometimes; I think that most writers will tell you about the agony of writing more than the joy of writing, but writing is what I was meant to do.” – Leon Uris

I sit in my little writing corner and type out words in silence except for the tapping of my fingers on the keyboard and the tick-ticking of the kitchen clock, as well as the occasional shifting of sleeping dogs in their open crates.

I am awash with gratitude to have the chance to do this for the bulk of my day. The past couple of hours has been pure joy. I wish I don’t have to stop, but it is almost time to leave to pick up my daughter.

I want to pocket this day and keep it for the other days when maybe I forget why I chose to pursue this writing life.
