Quiet

As much as I loved the summer, I am reveling in what this fall brings.

Quiet.

So quiet I can hear my thoughts. And dreams.

Sometimes it’s too quiet; I want to flee somewhere brash and loud and not so lonesome.

A concert. The farmer’s market. A bookstore.

I don’t know if I like just the sound of my fingers tapping on my keyboard.

Tap tap tap

But then I know I eventually have to face up to the fact that as a writer, I must write or admit I am just a person posing as a writer.
