Haunted Tomato

Me, as a tomato

Last night while dressed as a tomato (I love being able to write that!), I got to read my poem called, ahem, The Midnight Stock Boy and the Haunted Produce. It placed second in a local Halloween poetry contest’s “community” category. It was so fun to write, and even funner to read to an audience.

My oldest daughter told my husband she hoped none of her friends would be in the audience. None of them were. And thankfully, she didn’t seem overly embarassed. 🙂

When I have the chance, I will post my tomato pic and maybe even the poem. If I knew how to illustrate or do clay-mation, I’d love to make a Youtube video. I think any vegetable-actors are now done for the growing season so a live performance is probably out of the question.
