Crazy Loopy Funny Guy

Pink Think: “I think what makes our marriage work amid all the glare is that my husband is my best friend. He inspires everything in my life and enables me to do the best that I can. I want to hang out with him more than anyone.” – Faith Hill

My husband’s been gone for a week and now he’s back. (Hello, darling!)

I’m glad glad glad. I missed him something fierce.

***
He was in Canada volunteering as a trail veterinarian for a sled dog race. Last night in the house, he thought 68 degrees was toasty warm compared to the twenty below he had been camping in.

He said “everything that could go wrong went wrong.” They were trying to dig out of the Canadian tundra at one a.m., their vehicle got stuck a few times, the sled dog race had to be cut short because of a blizzard. At the end of his trip, he got flown out by helicopter so he could make his departing flight. When I picked him up at the aiport, he was standing in line to put in a request for his luggage, which was still stuck at the Denver airport.

Yet he was smiling. And he says his trip was a blast. Crazy loopy funny guy.

No wonder I love him.

My husband has his sled-dog races and off-roading. I have my writer’s conferences and rock band.

It keeps us and our marriage interesting.

The one good thing about him being gone is my youngest, who usually clings to her daddy like crazy, gave me some of the best hugs she usually reserves for him.
