Pink Think: “Perhaps there is no agony worse than the tedium I experienced waiting for Something to Happen.” – Lance Loud
Okay, I did Something Impulsive again.
(These 4 a.m. impulse things have got to stop.)
I was just about ready to finally go to bed at 2 a.m. Monday when I was seized with the impulse to finally make good on a promise I gave an agent I met at a writer’s conference in March. I combed through my “Ghost Moon Night” ms. once more, wrote a brief intro letter, and emailed off the first 50 pages at 4 a.m.
A few hours later, she e-mailed me back, asking me for the full manuscript. She gave me some feedback on pacing and overall had some really nice comments.
To say I was floored is an understatement. I basked for a few seconds, then I panicked. I had finished my ms., but it needed some last edits, which I figured I could do while waiting for weeks. Well, ready or not, I had to step up. I wrote a synopsis, did my last edits, and emailed her the story.
My very first ms. agent-submission (can you see my legs quaking?)!!
So now the wait is on. I’ll keep you posted.
How exciting!
Good luck!
That is sooooo cool!
Congratulations!!!!!!!!
That is awesome!
I can so empathise with your nervousness. The morning of the CFI conference I couldnt even eat breakfast. I was a nervous wreck.
Good luck with your submission, you have an awesome story, and you are a wonderful writer.
