Pink Think: “Never become so much of an expert that you stop gaining expertise. View life as a continuous learning experience.” – Denis Waitley

The other morning, my husband had the day off and took a turn helping the kids get ready for school. I got up just in time to hear my youngest say, “Where’s Mom?”
“Here!” I chimed in for roll call.
She was holding up the new pair of pants I bought her the other day, from behind like they were going to fall down. (She’s 8, with 8 year old-long legs, but skinny like a size 5, so everything is too big on her).
She gave me this embarassed look and I knew exactly what she needed.
“You need a safety pin?” I asked.
When she nodded, I told her to follow me into the bathroom. I knelt down and began to pin the waist of her pants tighter.
For one moment, I couldn’t continue. I was getting misty-eyed thinking, my daughter needs me! My daughter needs me to put on this safety pin. She looked for me to put it on. And I was happy to help her with this kindness.
Sometimes you just gotta be grateful for the little things.
