This is how I’ve been
since I let my new story go
out in the world
to find itself a home:
Restless…like
a child waiting
a horse pacing
a crowd standing
a mother expecting.
My mind spins to try
and find a new love
which I can adore
on the blank page:
Stories…like
a girl glowing
a boy sleuthing
a princess fighting
a woman searching.
