After I finished uploading my prequel novella A Cowboy for Forever, I made this Brown family tree so readers can visualize how everyone is related. There will be additions someday as more cowboys find their HEA. And yes, Heath’s pic is a dog because…Heath.
I used the paid version of Canva to make the family tree and it was so fun. However, I realized I had a little problem trying to match how I imagined my characters with stock photos. With some, I couldn’t remember their hair color, or eye color. Especially the women, since my covers feature the cowboys. I had put most of their info in my series planner, but I hadn’t noted all the details. So I ended up flipping through my book manuscripts to double-check.
As you write your NaNoWriMo project, be sure to note this basic but important info somewhere for each main and side character. Trust me, it will save you time later!
