My Biggest Fear

Pink Think: “If you want to conquer fear, don’t sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.” – Dale Carnegie

My husband says I’m being silly, but I can’t help wonder why this time around, I have not heard anything back on my queries (which I started sending out a week ago). The first time around, last fall, I got rejections as quickly as twenty minutes later. It also included one full request and one partial which were eventual no’s.

This time, I have sent out queries both by email and snail mail and I have not heard a single peep. Maybe the agents like my query and are wrangling over it with their colleagues as I post this (ha-ha).

Most likely they are still recovering from the holidays and simply have not gone through their slush.

No news is good news, right?

Two weeks ago, my family and I were eating at a restaurant when a family we were just talking to came back in and said their Honda sedan had been stolen. We were parked just three stalls away from it.

Last night, I dreamed that we went somewhere and someone stole our truck. I was so relieved when I woke up and realized it was just a dream.

I guess next to not getting any bites on my manuscript, I am scared of getting trucknapped.

What scares you the most?
