How to bake a book

Pink Think: “A bad review is like baking a cake with all the best ingredients and having someone sit on it.” – Danielle Steel

One of the greatest things I’ve experienced blogging is getting good stuff from other bloggers.

I get lots of advice, great links, and encouragement (thank you all from the last post!). And I’ve won lots of cool giveaways.

I also get recipes like one of panipopo, from Don. I didn’t even know what panipopo is , but I had to ask for the recipe and try it after I critiqued/enjoyed his manuscript (set in Hawaii) over Christmas break.

Here’s the delicious result.

My poor doggie Emmie only got to lick the plate (her veterinarian was watching closely, you see).

It’s like a coconut-roll. More of a breakfast item, but that didn’t stop me from indulging at dinner. Note to self: do not make this when you are watching calories!

Someday, when I am a famous author, and someone asks me where were some of the stranger places I’ve written from, I’d say: the master’s bath, beside the shower, on days when my husband was off (and he’s sleeping in) so I couldn’t write from my usual writing spot by the bedroom window. I liked the closed-in feeling and it wasn’t as big and empty and dark as the family room at 6:30 in the morning.

Don’t feel bad for me; I’m really having fun over here.
