Got horse? 2

My husband has this bee in his bonnet about getting a fourth horse. We looked at one yesterday, Jag. Sweet-looking, pretty, but tall (I don’t like tall horses) and my oldest daughter says he’s strong and fast (I don’t like strong and fast horses; so I want a semi-plug, live with it). The broker said, “At 57, (the owner) just can’t afford to break any bones.”

What a great selling point. I have 36-year old bones so I suppose that’s much better.

I get to ride this horse on Monday. If I live to tell about it, I’ll keep you posted.

Go and do it then, girl! You should try Carol Buhler, 830-7365. She owns our riding stable, Pegasus, and can do either individual lessons, or they do “ladies’ night” on Tuesdays ( I think). Another person to try is Iso Vernon. He teaches at Pegasus and his number is 850-9510. Once you get the basics down, in late summer/fall (when my kids are done with horse shows), we should go riding.
