Yesterday, I indulged a friend and agreed to be her guinea pig for a sales pitch she needs to make for her business. She asked me things like:
1. If you could have your dream job, what would it be?
2. What do you wish you could change in your present situation?
3. How do you see yourself five years from now?
It was an eye-opener. Usually I’m the one probing for answers, and there I was having to reveal my heart’s desire.
Ya know what I really want to do someday: To sell perfume or jewelry or makeup from behind a counter at a ritzy department store. Or cars (in a better economy). I would just love to make people happy by selling them the solution to their needs. Or be a Zumba instructor – I love latin music, I love to dance, and I would love to get paid enjoying both.
Oh, and yes, of course! Published novelist would be fun, too! That’s how I see myself five years from now. To have a published novel…while teaching Zumba between book tours.
