Pink Think: “‘Cowgirl up’ is an expression that means to rise to the occasion, not to give up, and to do it all without whining or complaining.” – from CowgirlShopping.com
When I celebrated my birthday on August 24, my husband said I had a gift coming from him still.
I got it today in the mail.
It’s a personalized license plate holder that reads “Pinoy Cowgirl”. (Pinoy being the slang for Filipino, and Cowgirl because I am a horse-mom) In PINK no less!
For a long time, I’d been fiddling with the idea of doing a personalized license plate, but had never really gotten around to it. Plus, any letters that I came up with didn’t make sense (not enough letters to complete the thought). [My husband’s, just in case you are wondering, is BZRD B8.]
I can’t wait to put this on my diesel truck.

What I’m wondering is, what would YOU put on your license plate/holder?
I would put “BE THE UPHEAVAL.” It’s a line from a poem I wrote and means ‘make a difference’ or ‘be the change.’
Be the upheaval.
Complectus tui Novitas
Translation:
Embrace your Individuality!
Not so close–I hardly know you!
Mine would read “Singing Cowgirl Trekkie loves to Write!”
Yeah, me in a nutshell. 🙂
If it would fit, I’d put
“You don’t scare me; I teach junior high.”
Serena: Nice philosophy.
Weston: You should do that in Latin, just to make people wonder what you mean :-).
Q: Makes me think of Bob Hope and his one-liners.
Madison: You’re a cowgirl, too! Thanks for stopping by.
Paperback Writer: I hear you. My daughter started jr. high this year. Sometimes, Sierra’s so moody-grumpy; I can’t imagine a roomful of thirty kids going through puberty like her. Junior High teachers should have a special place in heaven :-).
My license plate would say, “Hey everybody, how’s it going? Good I hope. Yeah, me too. So what do you think of my license plate? I mean, besides the obvious run-ons and sentence fragments and whatnot? Yeah, needs some cutting – I know – did I forget to mention that this was a first draft? But hey, look at all the active verbs… ‘go me!’ I’m starting to research the job potential of the ‘freelance-license-plate-scripting-market’. I hear it’s pretty hot right now – let you know what I find out.”
BPV: Just think of all the poor tailgaters who will rear-end you as they try to read the fine print :-).
Shhh! I’m listening to a book.
Hello there, If you don’t mine. I put in my blog list.
MJ
Elizabeth: I’ve gotta try one of those books on tape sometime…
MJ: I don’t mind. Thanks for visiting.
Pink,
Mostly it seems just the opposite of heaven.
Cute…and so thoughtful! Mine says something like “Eat, Sleep, Scrap” at the top and “Scrapbook Girl” on the bottom and my license plate used to be ‘SHMILYD’ which means See How Much I Love You Deneigh. But that car got wrecked so I need to see if I can transfer the plates on to our new one.
Hi Deneigh! Yeah, Drew scored points on this gift, esp since if he hadn’t done it, I wouldn’t probably get around to it :-). I like yours, too. You should go get your new car done up.
