I’ll always remember this Columbus Day, October 13, 2014, as the day I arrived at my destination after a long journey.
“Are you ready to squeal?” my husband asked me when he got home from work. I turned and he had a box in his hand.
I squealed. Boy, did I squeal. (At soccer games, I lose my voice all the time. I am a loud squealer.)
And then, I asked, “But isn’t it a holiday?” I guess UPS works today. I couldn’t open the box right away though. We had company coming for Family Home Evening (Monday nights, in LDS parlance). After a couple of hours, it was time for the big moment – my first published book, in my hands.
So, technically speaking, these were proofs. But after I approve it on Createspace, it will be available for purchase all over the world. Yes, even especially in the Philippines. And in Ireland! (Hi, Joy!) Ah, the wonders of technology. I have a couple of things I need to do with the e-book, like making the glossary interactive, after which, the e-book will go live as well.
It’s been a long day, and I need to sleep. So suffice it to say tonight, I’m happy. The book I’ve labored on for so long, with all my heart, has arrived.
I ordered it last night (it better be good) along with a Bluetooth headset for my phone. Any plans for an audio version. I’m probably your first Irish/Amazon.uk customer. Good luck with it. Tom
Thank you Tom!! 🙂 I hope that someday I can do an Audio.
