Macarons are my guilty pleasure. They are small and dainty but a decadent feast for the senses. I learned how to make these pastries during the lockdown. They were finicky little things, and I threw away many early attempts. But I kept at it. When I got the batches consistently right, I felt like I could conquer anything.
