Just spent a wonderful weekend at LDS Storymakers Conference, March 21-22. Some of my favorites: Brandon Sanderson’s “Building Worlds” class, Lael Littke’s “middle grade fiction” class, and Jessica Day George’s side-splitting and irreverent speech Friday night.
I was fortunate enough to get a one-on-one session with Jamie Weiss Chilton, associate agent with Andrea Brown Literary Agency, and that was wonderful. She gave me lots of feedback on my “Ghost Moon” first chapter and was very encouraging. I will be submitting my first 50 pages to her in the next few weeks.
Last but not the least, I won first place in the First Chapter Contest mystery/suspense category!
That must have been an incredible high to win that! Good luck with news from the agent.
Yeah, it was really cool. It made me feel like the story had potential.
Thanks!
